About the Teacher
Mrs. Corissa Bridges
Hello! My name is Corissa Bridges. I am so excited to be teaching mathematics at Sandra Day O'Connor this year!
I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and lived in Scottsdale, Arizona until I graduated from college. I then moved to Glendale and have lived there ever since. I attended Sandpiper Elementary, Desert Shadows Middle School and Horizon High School!!
I went to Arizona State University where I earned my BS in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Mathematics. I then attended Northern Arizona University remotely to earn my Masters in Mathematics Education.
After graduating, I taught math at Paradise Valley High School for 7 years. Then, I went on to teach math at Glendale Community College for 13 years. I went back to teaching high school math at Northwest Christian School for 2 years. This will be my 4th year at Sandra Day O'Connor but my 26th year teaching mathematics!
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 25 years. We have 5 kids who range in age from 12-24 years old. We have 3 sons who have graduated from OC and 1 more currently attending as a Senior.
I love to run! I have completed two full marathons and many half-marathons. My family and I also love to vacation at Disneyland. We are all Disney fanatics!
