Meet the Media Specialist

Welcome!

This is my 32nd year teaching and 31st year in the Deer Valley Unified District! I am also a graduate of the Deer Valley School District. I have taught everything from Kindergarten to College!  I love teaching and working with students to be successful!  My BA is in Education with an English Minor.  My Master's is in Reading and Educational Leadership. 

My husband and I have been married 39 years and we have three beautiful daughters.  We have 8 grandchildren that we love spending time with. I just returned from a four week trip with 3 of my grandchildren.  We stayed in Newport Beach, visited Disneyland and California Adventure, Hollywood, and Grahman's Chinese Theatre.  Then we went to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, Casa Bonita in Denver and then I took them home to Kansas City.  My youngest grandson, who is 7, had never been to any of the places so it was so fun for me and his sisters to see everything through his eyes!  

My favorite thing to do is travel!  I love exploring the US as well as other countries.  One of my favorite places is San Juan, PR.  I loved the cobblestone streets and beautiful colors in Old San Juan. I also enjoy scrapbooking, playing games and going to the movies with my grandchildren.
